One of my main reasons for relocating to the English Lake District was to be able to be on the spot for awesome weather. Sometimes thats snow, often its storms(!) but the most pleasant is mist. When mist or an inversion is forecast I'm usually on the road 2+ hours before sun up, to get to location by car and then on foot. Sometimes it turns out to be a damp squib, but othertimes it is magical - some might say a life affirming experience - getting above the clouds and taking in the beauty of the dawn...
