About Me...

The Story so far...

Based on the edge of the English Lake District, I am fortunate to have stunning Lakes and Mountains on my doorstep, and the beautiful Solway Coast a stone's throw away. I enjoy capturing the stillness of the night and early morning, or the last rays of the setting sun on these beautiful landscapes - and elsewhere.

My professional photographic career began in the mid-1990's, shooting images of vehicles for magazines and books but with a move to Cumbria a couple of years ago to escape the rat-race I have now reverted to my original photographic passion -  landscapes, seascapes, skyscapes and wildife.

I am a Christian and forever in awe of the wonders around us, so I do my best to capture them in camera for others to also enjoy - and often the most beautiful and humbling moments are when the rest of the world is tucked up warm in bed!

About my Work...

What's next...

I am currently building my portfolio of Lakeland images (it's very dependent on the weather!) and adding new work to this website. I have just started to offer print, canvases, etc for sale, for the time being through a well established online portal - just use the PicFair Shop button on each page. I'm gradually uploading my images so drop me a message if there's one you've seen that isn't available yet... I'll get it live.

Any image I am offering can be amended to include text if you wish - be it a short poem, bible verse or dedication - just drop me a message. As many of my pictures are sunset/rise and therefore have a lot of colour, if you wish we can adjust to colour co-ordinate with your room scheme. I can also arrange printing for you with a local studio if the PicFair options are not exactly what you are after (or you'd prefer to support my work directly rather than through a third party).

I now also offer tuition on a 1-2-1 or small group basis for those who would like to experience my sort of photographic journey - please seen the What's on Offer page for more details.

Meantime we are redecorating our property - an 18th century barn - and when it's ready you might be able to stay in the barn with us and have a wholly photographically themed trip (there are some great local walks and a super pub in the village too, which might also tempt you)!

So if you are interested in joining me on the journey, get in touch and I can tell you more about how things are coming together...

For my work I use Nikon bodies and lenses, currently with Gobe and Zomei filters on the occasions that I use them, and Manfrotto tripods. I edit using  a workflow including Skylum's Luminar 4, Adobe Photoshop and Skylum Aurora for occasional HDR work.

Thanks for looking in, and I hope you enjoy viewing my images.
